Ruth Bennett Physio I am a fully qualified and experienced Chartered Physiotherapist, Sports and Body Massage Therapist and Pilates Instructor.

I currently work as a Physiotherapist in private practice at Estuary Clinic of Integrated Health, Topsham, Averil Bainbridge & Associates Physiotherapy, Tregony and at The Blue Lotus Therapy Centre, Redruth. I also provide home physiotherapy and massage appointments in Truro, Falmouth and surrounding areas.

I have successfully treated a wide range of conditions from sports injuries and back pain to post-operation rehabilitation and neurological conditions. I take great care to work with my patients to provide tailored exercise programmes alongside manual treatment as I believe everybody is different and requires individual treatment.

I have great therapeutic relationships with my patients and take great pride in witnessing their improvement and recovery. To me there is no satisfaction greater than helping people to be healthier and happier and to live pain-free lives.

I enjoy teaching exercise classes including Pilates, Aqua Therapy, Movement and Posture Classes and a yoga inspired Back Care Course. I have been enjoying the benefits of Yoga for many years and am influenced by its principles and exercises in the classes that I teach. I believe it is important to provide exercise classes that are suitable for all ages and abilities and really enjoy relaying the benefits of movement and good posture with the aim to prevent injuries and poor health habits.

I regularly provide Massage Therapy for guests at The Valley holiday cottages in Cornwall. What better way to relax while on holiday. Read more about my massage services here.

I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and the Health & Care Professionals Council. I have trained with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists to be able to deliver safe and effective acupuncture for pain relief. I have an ITEC Diploma in Sports Massage and I have undertaken an extensive list of post graduate courses including manual therapy techniques, cognitive functional therapy, pain management and education courses to name a few. I am committed to continuing my professional development by actively attending courses and researching current concepts and evidence.

Pain is so complex and there are many factors involved that have to be tackled to get better, not just getting physical treatment. I attempt to educate my patients to help them understand their condition and why it is occurring before helping them on the road to recovery. Although I do take a hands-on approach in my treatment sessions I also promote self management so that my patient’s can continue to be pain free and prevent reoccurence of the condition.

If you would like any further information about me or my services please feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting you.
